Passionate. Emotional. Delicate. Sensitive. Joyful. Heartfelt.
These are but some of the words we could use to describe the things we celebrate. From weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, to everything in between. Filled with memories, laughter, tears, smiles.
At Notion in Motion, we can help you capture these emotions in its truest form, ensuring you are left with nothing but great memories to look back on. We understand how special your life celebrations are, and our camerawork will help you paint the picture for your lifetime canvas. These celebrations pass us by, and with how fast time goes by, sometimes a still or a video can help you stay grounded and remind you of the great and real things we have in our lives.
We aim to show the beauty and poetry of our lives, through our Notion in Motion.

Robert Nicolas, the family patriarch, ran a photo studio in the town, known to many as the go-to for when you need a photo taken for personal business, or even for taking photos with friends and family. Every now and then, the Nicolas kids (Rupert and Leo included) would drop by for on-the-spot photography lessons. A natural flair for art direction, coupled with dedication to honing their craft meant that Rupert and Leo understood what it meant to use a professional camera by the time they were in their pre-teens.
Life went on, as they say, and the brothers took videography jobs here and there to earn extra money for their personal pursuits. It would take a few years for them to realize, however, that the two of them were better together. A wedding coverage allowed them to work as the duo that they are now, and from then on, they have always worked on projects together.
Leo brought with him great technical skill in videography, and understanding of the equipment being used, and this synergy allowed him to translate scenes and landscapes to memories and destinations. Rupert brought to the table the passion, appreciation, and depth of emotions that photography could bring.
Together, they set out to help you create and save your memories to last forever. Like the first daguerreotype, the things that we celebrate and make us happy should live forever.
Together, they are Notion in Motion.
